Over the past few months, we got asked a lot about which material to choose in terms of casting. I will arrange a series of materials to discuss here.

Today, I’m going to talk about the advantages of ductile iron.

-Higher strength-to-weight ratio.

– Excellent surface finish. This will require less finishing after casting.

-Great for machining

-Corrosion resistance. withstand heavy wear. Such as applications of Buried ductile iron water and wastewater pipes

-Cost is lower comparing to steel

-Ductile iron provides a designer with an exceptional combination of toughness, low-cost manufacturing, and reliability.
